Brenzone, small harbours to explore on foot
Castelletto, Magugnano, Porto, Assenza: a municipality made of lakeside hamlets, best explored slowly.
Brenzone sul Garda has no real centre: it is a string of hamlets on the lake between Torri del Benaco and Malcesine, each with its own small harbour.
Along the lake
Castelletto, Magugnano, Porto and Assenza can be reached on foot along the shore, with stops at the little harbours where fishing boats are still moored.
Uphill to Campo
If you feel like walking, a mule track climbs through the olive groves to Campo, a medieval stone hamlet with very few residents and a wide view over the lake.
When to go
Spring and autumn are the best seasons: soft light, quiet paths and pleasant temperatures.
